open ilab

The goal of the open innovation lab is to foster a multidisciplinary community dedicated to driving social change through innovative projects. Get access to workshops, community events, mentoring and 24/7 access to a co-working space to bring your ideas to life. We will provide you with the tools to bring about change and give you the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for social impact.

The next batch of the open ilab will start in July 2024. The exact schedule and application procedure will be posted here soon!

Who is the programme for?

The open ilab is open to teams connected to the University of Vienna who want to take action to solve societal issues. We especially encourage teams with creative solutions aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to apply, which cover topics ranging from poverty eradication to climate action, aim to address global challenges and promote a more equitable and sustainable future.

Don’t have a team yet? Don’t worry! The social innovation hackathon taking place during the first week of the programme is the perfect place to find other people passionate about social change.
